[John D. T. McAllister, in Temple Minute Book, St. George, Sept. 3, 1888] Gave instruction to give nothing but the proper wording when washing, anointing, etc. Pres[ident] [Brigham] Young once said that Free Masonary is the corruption of the keys and powers of the Holy Priesthood. So would these Endowments be changed if we were not particular about the proper wording of these ceremonies. Instructed the recorders to be careful, for a great responsibility rested upon them.

  1. Both Free Masonry AND LDS Temple Endowments and all the other LDS temple ceremonies are the corruptions of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Come ye near unto me; I have not spoken in SECRET; from the beginning, from the time that it was declared have I spoken; and the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me. (1Ne.20:16; Isa.48:16)

For the Lord worketh not in SECRET combinations, neither doth he will that man should shed blood, but in all things hath forbidden it, from the beginning of man. (Ether 8:19)

  2. The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.

Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and IN SECRET HAVE I SAID NOTHING. (John 18:19-20)

  3. "For behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you that the Lord God worketh not in darkness [secret names, secret keywords, secret handgrips/tokens, secret arm and hand configurations or positions/signs, secret oaths, secret covenants]." (2 Nephi 26:23)

    secret is NOT sacred.
