[Hosea Stout]
This is a day of joy and rejoicing to the young people of this place. The last day of school which terminates with a dance & old and young become equal in actions & feeling[.] For my part I feel quite blithe & boyish[.] The "Fantastic toe" was tipped till ten at night when all retired peaceble & happy
