Afterwards at the Temple office recording records of the Kingdom. at 11 went to council ... The subject was as to whether we shall send a few faithful men to get in amongst the enemies and find out their secret movements and if possible harm all their plans. Pres-'n Young says we shall not be attacked by the mob this year and wants to urge the building of the Temple and Nauvoo House.

The subject of Loomis getting a License to sell Liquors also came up and it was decided that the prest. speak to the boys and have them get up a party and accommodate Loomis with a row and help his whiskey to spread itself, and probably improve his Accousers and glasses &c. ...

It was decided to let all old claims against the church go and not distress the church by paying them. ...
