[Abraham H. Cannon]
Went to Aunt Amanda's for supper, and spent the evening with [wife] Mina, who is here on the underground. She and [wife] Mame had to move last week because of some rumors concerning them which were being circulated, and I was somewhat afraid they would come to the ears of our new marshal, I[rving] A. Benton, who was installed on Dec. 1st. I think the scare is only temporary.
