In Arizona, the LATTER-DAY SENTINEL reports of 80-year old Marvin Clifford's second baptism. Clifford's church records had been burned in a church fire shortly after his first baptism at eight years of age. Because he lived in the same ward while growing up, he had no trouble acquiring his first temple recommend. For fifty years following, while serving as bishop and in the high council, he marked "records burned" on request for proof of his membership. That, however wasn't good enough for his current bishop who wanted to make it official. Clifford, says of the matter, "It's really been kind of funny, but it's all settled now."
