[Apostle Heber J. Grant Diary] Yesterday morning I made it a subject of prayer as to who I should endeavor to secure for a second wife I felt that the time had come when I should again make an attempt to practice plural marriage.

HJG had 3 wives from 1884-1893, when his legal and lawful 1st wife died (6 children), and he had two wives from 1893-1908, when his 2nd plural wife died (5 children). HJG was a monogamist with his 1st plural wife (1 daughter) from 1908 until his death in 1945. His 1st plural wife died in 1952.
