... At 7 PM. A meeting of the Priesthood was held in the assembly hall, President John Taylor, G. Q. Cannon, and Joseph F. Smith, occupied the time, till 10 PM, chiefly on celestial marriage, saying it was binding on all the Latter-day-saints, and that no man was entitled to the right of the Presiding, without abiding this law. They advised Presidents of Stakes, who have not obeyed this law to do so; or resign their positions as presidents. [John Taylor names three monogamous stake presidents.]
