SALT LAKE CITY, USA Two hymns performed at President Gerald Fords funeral on 2 January 2007, were arranged by the associate director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. (1)

Wilford Woodruff records that in the Kirtland temple "Elder Sherman Sung in the gift of tongues & proclaimed great & marvelous things while clothed upon by the power & spirit of God. . . . I spent the evening with Priest Turpin at Bishop Whitney's. Had a vary happy time in speaking Singing hearing & interpreting tongues & in prayer with the family." Woodruff also records that Joseph Smith had received a revelation about the Kirtland Safety Society. Declining to reveal the substance of the revelation, Joseph says, "that if we would give heed to the Commandments the Lord had given this morning all would be well." (2)
