ReplyDeleteVengeance and fury did indeed come down - but it was upon the heads of Joseph and Hyrum Smith exactly 13 days later. Another of Joseph Smith's many false prophecies.
Of course the hack-historians of the Mormon History Assocation are completely clueless on these facts.
