[President Wilford Woodruff Journal] July 24, 1894 47 years ago this day I brought Prest Brigham Young into this valley in my Carriage. Nearly all of that Company to day are in the spirit world. I spent this day at home vary quiet.

WW's recollection is greatly in error. Brigham Young, who was flat on his back in the wagon with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, was driven into the valley by his teamster and black slave - LDS pioneer Green Flake.
