Orson Pratt preached: âœJoseph Smithâ¦was a boy about fourteen years of ageat the time the Lord first revealed himselfâ¦to himâ¦he saw nothing excepting the light and two glorious personagesâ¦One of these personages, pointing to the other, saidâ"â™Behold my beloved Son, hear ye him.â™
After this, power was given to Mr. Smith to speak, andâ¦he said that he desired to know which was the true Churchâ¦immediately after receiving it, he began to relate it to some of his nearest friends, and he was told by some of the ministers who came to him to enquire about it, that there was no such thing as the visitation of heavenly messengers, that God gave no new revelationâ¦he knew that he had seen this light, that he had beheldthese two personages, and that he had heard the voice of one of themâ¦and he continued to testifythat God had made himself manifest to himâ¦â(âœJournal of Discoursesâ, Vol. 17, pp.278-280)

Only ONE Personage, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph Smith very early in the spring of 1820 - all the meteorological evidence strongly indicating either Sunday March 26 or Sunday April 2 - both warm clear days). The 2 Personage falsification occurred sometime between 1838-1842 in order to justify the false doctrine of exaltation to Gods and Goddesses that Joseph Smith introduced with the Book of Pseudo Abraham.
ReplyDeleteThe Church of Jesus Christ (WHQ: Monongahela, Pennsylvania), the only true succession of the restored gospel, firmly believes in the "only one Personage" 1st Vision account.
An interesting note is that in 1820 Mar.26 and Apr.2 were Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, respectively. March 26,1820 was, of course, exactly 10 years before the same exact day on March 26,1830 that the Book of Mormon was finally published and made available for purchase.
