Emma gives birth to David Hyrum Smith at Nauvoo, her ninth biological child and eighth son. late 1844-early 1845 Lucy begins dictating her memoirs to Martha Jane Knowlton Coray.

Correction: This was Emma's 8th biological child and 7th biological son. A son thought to have been born and die on Dec.26, 1842 was actually a non-existant birth due to a scribal error. See JSP J2:194, wherein "chill" was later changed to "child" in HC 5:209. "Sister Emma sick had another chill" - NOT another child.
