The subject of marriage and the condition of a large number of young women who were anxious to become honorable wives and mothers in Israel, and would be willing to enter into plural marriage, was considered. Also the conditions existing in consequence of the laws forbidding polygamy. The evils existing were conceded, but no definite remedy to meet them was considered to be available at present.
