Hiram, Ohio. Doctrine and Covenants 66. William E. McLellin (h) met Joseph at the conference in Orange a few days earlier (Minutes of October 25-26, 1831) and went home with him that day. Joseph received this revelation for William a few days later. He is to take Samuel H. Smith with him on a mission to the East.

William E. McLellin journal gives the October 29 date; heading: This day the Lord condecended to hear my prayr and give me a revelation of his will, through his prophet or seer (Joseph) -And these are the words which I wrote from his mouth, saying,

John K Cannon is first Mormon appointed to four-star rank in U.S. military. With this promotion General Cannon is commander of U.S. Tactical Air Command. In World War II he was Commander-in-chief of Allied air forces in Europe and later for entire U.S. air force in Europe (1948-51). (3)
