  1. I saw Jimmy Stewart at BYU in the 1980s, I believe when he was donating his papers to the library. It took me a moment to realize who it was that I was looking at.

  2. per Deseret News 1987 Church Almanac, pp.113-114, the donation occurred shortly before Feb.1, 1985, the day he visited BYU during the school's week-long events to honor him. His papers included "personal memorabilia, letters, posters, photographs, prints of 25 of his films, and other effects." p.114 has photo of him seated, smiling, and raising his right hand to acknowledge the students (applause) in the DeJong Concert Hall.
