[In conversation with Orval Adams:] He also said that the Burroughs Adding Machine people wanted to put something in their July issued about Utah and he had a $10.00 1837 Kirtland Safety Society bill and thought of letting them use that for a cut. Pres. Clark suggested that there was more scandal about that society than anything in the Church. Mr. Adams then said he thought perhaps he had better not let them use it. ...

    someone should do an x-ray fluorescence test on the "pure" gold 1849 coin in the exhibit to determine what the gold weight % actually is.
