[President Heber J. Grant Diary] Called on Pearl Udall Nelson and told her that we were thinking of appointing her father President of the Arizona Temple. I asked her regarding his family relations and she explained fully his present condition. Consulted with my counselors and some of the apostles and finally concluded to send the letter of appointment of Brother Udall. (1)

After a 32-month absence of proselytizing missionaries in the Republic of Serbia, six missionaries from the Bulgaria Sofia Mission returned to Serbia. Missionaries were withdrawn from the country in March 1999 because of conflict in the region. (3)
