120 years ago today - Jul 12, 1892

[Apostle Heber J. Grant Diary] At 2 P.M. met with the Apostles in the upper room at he Historian's office. Present Lorenzo Snow, Moses Thatcher, Francis M Lyman, Jno Hy Smith, H.J. Grant, Jno W Taylor, M.W. Merrill, A.H. Lund, & A H Cannon. Bro Franklin D. Richards having gone to Alaska with his son Franklin who is quite sick. Bro. Cannon was selected as clerk or our meeting Prest Lorenzo Snow spoke to us and referred to the dangers of divisions among us on account of political differences. Referred to the recent speech of Bro. Thatcher at Ogden and the reply in the Ogden Standard. The article by Prests Jos F. Smith & Jno Hy Smith and Bro Thatcherr's reply to their article. Hoped these differences would not lead to divisions among the brethren. Brothers Smith & Thatcher each spoke expressing the very best of feeling for each other, notwithstanding their differences of opinions in political matters.
