  2. This reminds me of the character that Jackie Gleason portrayed in a comedy skit on his old early 1960s TV program - the character of JOE THE BARTENDER.

  3. According to the ad (bottom of p.3, 3rd column from left), the brewery was owned by a "T.Turley" and was located at "Hyde and Water Streets."
