[President Heber J. Grant Diary] President Hugh B. Brown called and told of meetings that were being held in which plural marriage is advocated, and that people say you cannot reach the highest glory without entering into it; that Kimball who was excommunicated from the Church was there and opened the meeting and told the Lord in his prayer that they were there in opposition to the Church and in opposition to the laws of the land, but they were there to do the will of the Lord, etc. We told him to cite all they could that were at such a meeting and make them pledge themselves to stop going or be tried for their fellowship.
