please briefly explain what the angle braces mean.
ReplyDeleteAngled brackets indicate shorthand. Wilford Woodruff often used that for sensitive items he recorded in his journal.
Deletewould be interesting to compare/see/read the actual shorthand and Kenney's interpretation side-by-side.
DeleteDan Vogel is working on another edition of the Woodruff diaries. He has made some corrections to Kenny's shorthand interpretations.
