The Presiding Patriarch said there is an unusual desire manifested by the people generally to get their patriarchal blessings, and he was pleased to learn at the late special meeting of the patriarchs that an increased activity existed among them in giving blessings.... He added it was not the privilege of patriarchs in giving blessings to go into the future, promising the people that they should go back into Jackson County, and that they should live to see the coming of the Savior. He had instructed the patriarchs to bless the people as pertaining to the blessings of today.
