[Hosea Stout]
This morning the missionaries going East started from the Temple Block to cross the plains with Hand Carts.
The company consisted of some 74 men and 35 Hand Carts[.] They all seemed to be in unusually good spirits[.] They are bound for different parts of the U States, Canada and Europe.
