[J. Reuben Clark]

[In conversation with Ernest L. Wilkinson:] He also asked me about how I felt about the atom bomb. He recalled that he had spoken to me the day after the thing was exploded in Japan and I had condemned it then. I said I was still condemning it, that some of our brethren felt that it was given to us by the Lord to insure our victory. He said that he and Pres. Brossard were not in agreement regarding the bomb, Pres. Brossard feeling that its use was fully justified.
