[In Honolulu, Hawaii:] I called on Joseph F. Smith [III] & family. ... Pres. Woolley showed me a letter from the First Presidency instructing him that J. F. S. is to not be used in any church capacity. This closed my mouth on the subject, and the further fact that he will see the Presidency the latter part of this month. [Presiding Patriarch Joseph F. Smith III had been engaging in homosexual relations.]
