Today in Mormon History - Nov 28

Joseph Smith tells the Quorum of the Twelve that "..the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by it's precepts, than by any other book". (1)

[Abraham H. Cannon Journal] "In the evening six persons came here to be baptized; they were Peter Vogel, his wife Katharina, and daughter Margaretha, Franz J. Medel, and Johann Bauer, with his wife Babeta. I baptized them all, the first named being also baptized for his health, he having a lame back." (2)

[S]even weeks after Joseph called "... the Book of Mormon ... the most correct of any book on earth," he was at it again, full of energy to make it even more correct, reading the "... American stereotype edition [1840] ... for the purpose of correcting the stereotype plates of some errors which escaped notice in the first edition." (3)
