[Apostle John Henry Smith Diary] Manassa, Colorado

I spent the entire day reading and taking notes on the life of [Andrew] Hamilton.

  1. This was probably Alexander Hamilton one of the Founding Fathers. See JHS Diary entries one week later.

[Friday, Dec. 9, 1892 - Salt Lake City] I spent the day reading in the Federalist [Papers] and taking notes for my lectures.

[Sunday, Dec. 11, 1892 - Salt Lake City] I lectured on Hamilton at the Theatre tonight. Judge C. S. Zane, Ex.-Gov. Emery and West were present to listen to me. I had very good liberty.
