120 years ago today - Jun 20, 1893

[Apostle Abraham H. Cannon Journal] At 2 o'clock I went to the races with Joseph F. Smith, John Q. and Chas. H. Wilcken. They were very good. In the 2:20 trot six horses were entered, but the purse of $1,000 was won by Ottinger in three straight heats.

    Does the Utah of today have horse racing tracks?

    If not, when did they ban horse racing and the betting on the horses associated therewith? Most people are aware that they have no state lottery.

    I wonder what % of adults (LDS vs non-LDS) in Utah buy lottery tickets in Nevada, etc.?
