Several curious tidbits that happened on this day in Mormon History
180 years ago today - Jun 3, 1833
Dr. Philastus Hurlbut excommunicated for unchristian-like conduct with females. Also, Daniel Copley cut off for not going on a mission (claiming to be too weak).
Clarifications and Corrections:
ReplyDeleteHurlburt was "restored" to fellowship on Jun.21st after "his confession", but on Jun.23 was again "cut off from the Church" (for the final time).
Copley's case occurred on Jun.21st (not June 3rd).
