[President Heber J. Grant Diary] Had a little chat with David O. McKay and told him I thought the little pamphlet that had been issued regarding Prohibition, signed by himself and others, was unwise and would do more harm than good in trying to reelect Reed Smoot the (sic) to the senate. I assured him that I did not propose personally to ask any man to vote for Brother Smoot but that I should be happy if he is returned to the senate.
