By request of the Salt Lake bankers we [Deseret News] suppressed the exciting news from Denver, so that the people here might not become needlessly alarmed at the situation. Our bank statements published today show a very healthy condition.

ReplyDeleteAnd 120 years later the Deseret News editorial mindset hasn't changed at all - they're still stifling and smothering and gagging freedom of speech and of the press.
Although to be fair to the Deseret News, many people have stopped watching CNN because of the way they fear-monger, panic-monger, and hysteria-monger their reports.
