[President Heber J. Grant Diary] Lawrence Epperson called in regard to creating an organization to be called the Sons of the Pioneers. I told him I had neither endorsement nor criticism so far as I was concerned, that I thought we were getting more organizations than we had any need for.

  2. "Sons of the Pioneers" was a 1930s western music singing group - Roy Rogers and Ken Curtis (later portrayed Festus Haggen in Gunsmoke) were early members. I don't know if they still exist today. If they do, they should be called the "(Great-Grand) Sons of the Pioneers."

  3. or, maybe "The Great & Grand Sons of The Pioneers". Utah does not have a monopoly on "pioneers".

  4. The only "Original Pioneers" on the land of America today are of course the Amercan Indians, the tribe of Joseph (of Egypt) thru BOTH of his sons, Ephraim and Manasseh).

  5. Lehi was a descendant of Manasseh per Alma 10:3.

Ishmael was a descendent of Ephraim per Book of Lehi (116 pages lost June 1828). See JOD 23:184-185 (Discourse of Apostle Erastus Snow given at Logan, Utah on May 6, 1882).

Zarahemla's tribal ancestry is unknown for certain, but it is either Ephraim or Manasseh. See Omni 1:14-15.

Zoram's tribal ancestry is also unknown for certain, but it also is either Ephraim or Manasseh.

The only people on the face of the whole earth who are either Ephraim or Manasseh are the American Indians of North, Central, and South America.
